The college offers research facilities that lead to the PhD degree in Commerce through a cluster linkage with Sant Sohirobanath Ambiye Government College of Arts and Science, Pernem, which is affiliated with Goa University.

Included sessions by Prof. P.K. Sudarshan (Goa University), Dr Harip Khanapuri (Goa University), Prof. Purva Hedge, Dr Smita Sanzgiri (GVM's College, Ponda), and Prof. M.S. Dayanand (Goa University). Attended by 75 participants.
Workshop on the "Selection of a Journal for Research Publication"
Resource person was Dr Tapaswi Murari, former Chief Librarian at NIO. He cautioned against predatory journals and suggested ways to verify authenticity.
Session on "Recent Trends in Research Work"
Jointly organised with the Directorate of Higher Education. The resource person was Dr Sunil Paul, Assistant Professor in Economics, IIT Goa.
Monthly 'Researchers Meet'

A practical workshop for faculty and researchers.

A five-day FDP organised in collaboration with the BBA Department to enhance faculty skills.

Purpose of Research
Research plays a vital role in every academic institution for its sustainability and development. The quality of research directly translates to the quality of teaching and learning.
- Research that transfers ideas from **"Lab to Land"** must be encouraged.
- Research should benefit the community and be grounded in quality investigation.
- It should not be primarily focused on earning a degree or promotion, but rather on **serving the public good**.
- Researchers should identify problems faced by the community and work toward the development of the nation.
Academic Integrity
Academic integrity refers to a commitment to the values of **honesty, trust, fairness, respect, responsibility, legality, and openness** in the dissemination of information. Researchers must be honest, sincere, and responsible for their research findings and publications.
What is Misconduct in Research?
Misconduct encompasses fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, or deception in the proposal, conduct, or reporting of research results. It also covers deliberate, dangerous, or negligent deviations from accepted research practices.
Plagiarism
The deliberate copying of ideas, text, data, or other works without proper permission or acknowledgement.
Piracy
The deliberate copying or use of another person's intellectual work, ideas, or data without due acknowledgement or consent.
Misinterpretation
The deliberate attempt to falsely represent or distort the ideas or works of others.
Falsification
Manipulating research materials, equipment, or processes, or altering or omitting data or results.
Core Ethical Principles
- Do not fabricate data or falsify results.
- Avoid duplication in publication or submission.
- Do not misrepresent research findings or use fraudulent data.
- Avoid all forms of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism.
- Preserve and protect the privacy, dignity, and freedom of all research participants.
- Ensure the accuracy and authenticity of all data.
- Clearly cite all sources of information and data used.
- Grant authorship only to those who have made a significant contribution.
- Follow transparent mechanisms for the use of research funds.
- Ensure research results are accessible to the public once completed.
