Procedure of Redressal

  1. Formation of the Grievance Redressal Committee as per institutional guidelines.
  2. Notification issued to students regarding the constitution of the committee and its functioning.
  3. Complaints may be received orally or in writing from students.
  4. The complaint is formally forwarded to the Grievance Committee for examination.
  5. The committee conducts meetings to discuss and review the matter in detail.
  6. Notices are issued to all concerned parties involved in the grievance.
  7. The committee thoroughly and objectively investigates the issue.
  8. The committee prepares a detailed report and submits it to the Principal for review and decision.
  9. The Principal takes appropriate action based on the committee’s recommendations.
  10. The final decision and action taken are communicated to all concerned parties.

Grievance Redressal Procedure

  1. Complaint received (oral or written).
  2. The complaint is forwarded to the Anti-Ragging Committee.
  3. The committee conducts meetings to discuss the case.
  4. Notices are issued to all concerned parties.
  5. The grievance matter is investigated by the committee.
  6. The committee submits its report to the Principal.
  7. Appropriate action is taken by the Principal based on the report.
  8. The decision or action taken is intimated to all concerned parties.

Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH)

In accordance with The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act, 2013, our institution maintains a **zero-tolerance policy** towards sexual harassment.

All complaints will be treated with **confidentiality, sensitivity, and urgency**.

Purpose & Objectives

  • Prevent instances of sexual harassment.
  • Ensure a safe and respectful workplace environment for all.
  • Receive and address complaints in a fair and confidential manner.
  • Conduct awareness programs on gender sensitivity and workplace ethics.
  • Spread POSH awareness to all employees about their roles and responsibilities.

Duties of the Committee

  • Create awareness of the Act and provision of actions.
  • Conduct the investigation into any reported matter as per statutory norms.

Code of Conduct for Teachers

Teachers Shall Not

  • Knowingly or willingly neglect their duties.
  • Discriminate against students or other members of the staff; they must treat everyone with respect and courtesy.
  • Indulge in or encourage any form of malpractice during examinations.
  • Remain absent without prior sanction of leave.
  • Claim leave as a matter of right.
  • Use mobile phones in classrooms, laboratories, or corridors.
  • Accept employment in any other organisation without prior permission of the college.
  • Disclose confidential information, particularly related to the conduct of examinations and results.
  • Engage in open confrontation or any form of disruptive behaviour within the institution.

Teachers Shall

  • Be punctual and adhere to the college timings.
  • Encourage students to actively participate in the teaching–learning process.
  • Promote discipline, respect for the community, and environmental consciousness among students.
  • Help students distinguish between right and wrong, and between good and bad.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and neat campus.
  • Deal with students fairly and without favouritism.
  • Undertake research activities for self-development and to improve teaching quality.
  • Cooperate with the authorities to ensure the smooth functioning of the college.
  • Participate in extension, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities, including community service.
  • Exhibit courtesy, dignity, decency, and decorum in their behaviour and communication.
  • Treat fellow professionals in the same manner that they themselves wish to be treated.
  • Follow all rules and regulations issued by the Management, DHE, and Goa University.
  • Perform duties as per the statutes of Goa University.
  • Wear identity cards around the neck within the campus.
  • Work extra hours as and when required by the institution, and shall not claim compensatory leave.
  • Assist the Principal and Vice-Principal in maintaining discipline.

Professional Code of Conduct (Goa University)

Teachers and other Academic Staff shall also follow the professional code of conduct as laid down by the Goa University.
